Everything you may want to know before your session.
When should I book my newborn photography session?
Ideally, newborn sessions are booked during pregnancy, usually after your 12–20 week scan. This gives us the best chance of reserving a suitable date around your due date. Once your baby arrives, we confirm the final session date.
When is the best time for a newborn photography session?
Newborn sessions are usually photographed within the first two to three weeks after birth, when babies are still very sleepy and naturally curled. However, beautiful newborn photographs can also be created with slightly older babies.
Where is your photography studio located?
My studio is based in Enfield, North London. I welcome families from Enfield, Barnet, Finchley, Muswell Hill, Haringey, Islington, Potters Bar and across London.
Are newborn photography sessions safe?
Yes. Your baby’s comfort and safety always come first. Sessions are calm, unhurried and baby-led, with plenty of time for feeding, cuddles and settling whenever needed.
Can parents and siblings be included?
Absolutely. Family and sibling photographs are an important part of the experience and are included in many of my sessions.
What should we wear for our photography session?
Soft, neutral and timeless colours photograph beautifully. Before your session, I can guide you with outfit choices so the final gallery feels natural and cohesive.
How long does a newborn session take?
Newborn sessions are intentionally relaxed and usually take around two to three hours, allowing plenty of time for feeding, changing and settling your baby.
What happens if my baby arrives earlier or later than expected?
Don’t worry — babies rarely arrive exactly on their due date. Once your baby is born, simply let me know and we’ll confirm the best date for your newborn photography session. I always allow flexibility around due dates, so whether your baby arrives earlier or later than expected, we can adjust your session accordingly.
