Who We Are

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the website, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to assist with spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also known as a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment has been approved, your profile picture may be visible publicly alongside your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, please avoid uploading images that contain embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website may be able to download and extract location data from images published on the site.

If your package includes unedited images, please note that RAW files or incomplete images will not be provided. All images supplied to you will be delivered in .jpg format only.

This includes images used to create one final edited photograph, such as composite newborn poses (for example, the “froggy pose”), where several images are combined during the editing process to produce the final result.

Please also note that any images showing my hands supporting the baby, or images that do not fully display the final pose, will not be included in your unedited gallery. This applies to poses such as the “froggy pose”, which require additional editing to achieve the final image safely.

Private Galleries

You have the right to request a fully private gallery.

If you choose this option, your edited and unedited images will not be published on my website or social media platforms, and they will not be shown to other clients visiting the studio.

Your private gallery will be delivered to you via digital download and, where included or requested during your session, on a USB stick or memory card.

To protect your privacy, all images will be permanently removed from my computer, hard drives and data storage systems two weeks after your gallery has been uploaded and sent to you.

Please note that once your images have been deleted from my systems, I will no longer have access to them and will be unable to provide replacements in the event that they are lost.

For this reason, I strongly recommend saving your images in several secure and trusted locations, and sharing backup copies with close family members where appropriate, to ensure they remain safely stored.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our website, you may choose to save your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not need to enter your details again when leaving another comment. These cookies will remain active for one year.

If you visit our login page, a temporary cookie will be set to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is deleted once you close your browser.

When you log in, several cookies will also be set to save your login details and screen display preferences. Login cookies remain active for two days, and screen option cookies remain active for one year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will remain active for two weeks. Logging out of your account will remove the login cookies.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie contains no personal data and simply identifies the post ID of the article you edited. It expires after one day.

Embedded Content From Other Websites

Articles on this website may include embedded content, such as videos, images or articles. Embedded content from other websites behaves in exactly the same way as if the visitor had visited the other website directly.

How Long We Retain Your Data

At Sylvia Dobek Photography, we take data privacy seriously and are committed to protecting your personal information and photographs taken during your session.

As part of our responsible data management policy, please note that we do not store client images for longer than 6 months. Only the final edited images from your gallery will be retained during this period.

Unedited images (where included in your package or purchased as an additional option) will remain available for download for up to 4 weeks. After this period, your gallery will contain edited images only.

Your privacy and data security are extremely important to us, and we have implemented appropriate measures to ensure your information is handled with care and in compliance with current data protection standards. Our limited retention period helps us maintain responsible and secure data management practices.

Use of Phones and Recording Devices During Sessions

At our photography studio, we take the privacy and comfort of our clients seriously. For this reason, we operate a strict policy regarding photography, filming and audio recording within the studio premises.

Clients are kindly asked not to take photographs or videos during their session unless explicit permission has been granted by studio management. This policy helps us protect the privacy of all clients and ensures that everyone enjoys a comfortable and uninterrupted experience.

We also prohibit any form of recording or photography by third parties, including media outlets, promotional companies or individuals not directly involved in the session.

Recording photographers, assistants or behind-the-scenes activity during your appointment is strictly prohibited without prior consent.

Any breach of this policy may result in immediate removal from the studio and, where necessary, further action may be taken.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Payments

Please note that full payment for your photo session is required at the time of the session.

To ensure smooth scheduling and provide the best possible experience for all clients, we are unable to accept partial payments or delayed payment arrangements.

Payment may be made either by bank transfer or in cash, depending on your preference. Where a deposit is required (for example, during seasonal offers), payment must be completed on the same day the booking is made.

Please note that additional discounts are not available during seasonal promotions or special offers. Seasonal packages are already offered at promotional rates and cannot be combined with further discounts.
