MEET YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER
Hi, I’m Sylvia. Photographer. Mother. Storyteller at heart.
For the past 13 years, I’ve had the privilege of photographing some of life’s most precious chapters — from the anticipation of a new baby to those tiny newborn days and the beautiful chaos of growing families.
Before photography became my profession, I worked as a nurse — an experience that shaped the calm, caring and patient way I work with babies, children and their parents today.
I’m also a mum of two daughters and a happy wife, so I know just how quickly family life changes — and how much the photographs we create today can mean in the years to come.
From caring for people to capturing their stories.
Before photography became my profession, I worked as a nurse. Caring for others taught me patience, empathy and how important it is to make people feel safe and comfortable — qualities that have stayed with me throughout my journey as a photographer.
Thirteen years ago, photography became my career, and since then I’ve had the privilege of welcoming so many families in front of my camera. From expectant mothers and tiny newborns to growing babies and families, every session reminds me how quickly these chapters pass.
Becoming a mum to my two daughters gave photography an even deeper meaning. I know how easy it is to think we’ll remember every little detail — and how quickly those details change as our children grow.
Today, as a photographer, mum and wife, I create the kind of photographs I would want for my own family: natural, timeless and filled with genuine connection.
“Because one day, these photographs become part of your family’s story.”
More than photography.
For 13 years, photography has been more than my profession — it has been a way of preserving the moments I know families will one day miss the most.
My journey began long before I picked up a camera professionally, and every part of it has shaped the photographer — and the person — I am today.
BEHIND THE CAMERA
Thirteen years of professional photography experience, capturing babies, motherhood and families through every beautiful stage.
A CARING APPROACH
My nursing background shaped the calm, patient and attentive way I work, especially when photographing newborn babies and young children.
I UNDERSTAND
As a mum of two daughters, I know how quickly childhood changes and why the little details we photograph today become so precious.
FAMILY AT HEART
Family is at the heart of my own life, which is why genuine connection, closeness and emotion are always at the heart of my photography too.
Calm, natural and completely unhurried.
I believe the most beautiful photographs happen when you feel comfortable enough to simply be yourself.
There is no pressure to perform, no need for perfect smiles and no expectation that children will behave in a certain way. I gently guide you when needed, while leaving space for the natural connections, expressions and little moments that make your family yours.
Whether I’m photographing a tiny newborn, an expectant mother or a busy family, my approach is always patient, relaxed and centred around you.
“You don’t need to know how to pose. You simply need to be together.”
