What to Expect from Your Newborn Photography Session
BEFORE
Once your session is booked, I will send you all the information you need to prepare. You do not need to bring props, wraps or newborn outfits unless there is something personal you would like to include.
DURING
Newborn sessions usually allow plenty of time for feeding, settling and posing. I work gently and follow your baby’s cues throughout the session, so there is never pressure for your baby to sleep immediately or stay in a particular position.
AFTER
After the session, you will receive a gallery from which you can choose your favourite images according to your package. Your selected photographs are then professionally edited in my signature soft and timeless style.
Newborn and Family Photography in North London
Parents and siblings are welcome to be part of the newborn session. These photographs often become some of the most meaningful images from the gallery, capturing the connection between your new baby and the people who love them most.

7–21 DAYS
Newborn sessions are ideally photographed within the first 2–3 weeks after birth, but I also regularly work with older newborns. Every baby is different, so the session is always adapted to your baby’s age, comfort and individual needs.
The best time to book your newborn photography session is during pregnancy, ideally after your 20-week scan. This allows me to reserve availability around your due date and then confirm the final session date once your baby arrives. If you would like to document both your pregnancy and your baby’s first weeks, my Bump to Baby photography package combines both stages.
Newborn sessions are usually photographed within the first few weeks after birth, although older newborns are absolutely welcome too. Every baby is different, so I always adapt the session to your baby’s age, temperament and comfort.
If your baby arrives early, by C-section or needs extra time after birth, there is no need to worry. Your session can be adjusted around your circumstances.
Can I Book Newborn Photography for an Older Baby?
Yes. While many newborn sessions take place during the first few weeks, I also photograph older newborn babies in my Enfield studio.
Older babies may be more alert and may not settle into every traditional newborn pose, but this often gives us beautiful opportunities for eye contact, expressions and more natural portraits.
The session is always adapted to your baby rather than expecting your baby to fit a fixed posing routine.

Newborn photography sessions are usually best during the first few weeks after birth, when babies are still naturally sleepy and comfortable in curled positions. However, older newborns are also very welcome in my Enfield studio, and the session is always adapted to your baby’s age and temperament.
How long does a newborn photo session take?
A full newborn photography session usually takes around 2.5 to 3 hours. This allows plenty of time for feeding, changing, settling and cuddles, so there is never any need to rush your baby.
How much does newborn photography cost?
My newborn photography prices depend on the package and number of professionally edited images you choose. Current packages start from £299, with larger collections available for families who would like more images from their session.
Do you provide newborn outfits and props?
Yes. My Enfield studio includes a carefully selected collection of wraps, outfits, blankets and newborn props. You are also welcome to bring something personal if there is an item you would especially like included.
Can parents and siblings be included?
Yes. Parent and sibling photographs are welcome and can be included as part of your newborn session. These are often some of the most meaningful images from the final gallery.

What if my baby does not sleep?
That is completely fine. Newborn sessions are baby-led, and there is no expectation that your baby must sleep from the beginning. Some of the most beautiful photographs can be created while your baby is awake and alert.
Can I book newborn photography if my baby is already a few weeks old?
Yes. Older newborns are welcome. Some traditional newborn poses may not always be suitable for an older or more alert baby, but we can still create beautiful, natural portraits and family images.
