Client Photographs and Media

Unedited Images and RAW Files

Where your photography package includes access to unedited images, please note that RAW files are never supplied.

Any unedited photographs made available to clients are supplied in JPG format only.

Certain newborn photographs require several individual images to be combined during professional editing to create one safe final portrait. This includes composite newborn poses such as the froggy pose.

Images showing my hands supporting your baby, incomplete poses, safety images or individual photographs used solely to construct a final composite photograph will not be included in an unedited gallery.

This process is an important part of maintaining safe newborn photography practices.

Private Photography Galleries

Every client has the right to request a fully private photography gallery.

If you choose a private gallery, photographs from your session will not be published on the Sylvia Dobek Photography website or social media channels and will not be displayed to other clients visiting the studio.

Your gallery will be delivered digitally and, where included in your chosen package or arranged separately, images may also be supplied on a USB drive or memory card.

For clients requesting a fully private gallery, photographs will be permanently removed from my computer, hard drives and other photography storage systems two weeks after the completed gallery has been delivered.

Once these files have been permanently deleted, Sylvia Dobek Photography will no longer be able to recover or replace them.

For this reason, I strongly recommend downloading your complete gallery promptly and keeping several secure backup copies in different locations.

How Long We Retain Client Photographs

Sylvia Dobek Photography follows a limited image-retention policy to reduce unnecessary long-term storage of client photographs.

Final edited photographs may be retained for up to six months following delivery of your gallery.

Where unedited JPG images are included in your package or purchased separately, they will normally remain available for up to four weeks.

After this period, unedited photographs may be permanently deleted and only the completed edited gallery retained for the remainder of the applicable storage period.

Different retention arrangements apply to clients who specifically request a fully private gallery, as explained above.

Clients are responsible for downloading and safely backing up their photographs following delivery.

How We Use Your Personal Information 

Information provided when contacting or booking Sylvia Dobek Photography may be used to:

• respond to your enquiry;
• organise and prepare your photography session;
• communicate with you before and after your appointment;
• deliver your photography gallery and any products ordered;
• process and maintain appropriate payment and business records;

Your personal information is not sold to third parties.

Photography Portfolio and Social Media

Booking a photography session does not automatically mean that every photograph from your session will be published.

Where photographs may be used for the Sylvia Dobek Photography portfolio, website, social media, advertising or promotional materials, appropriate permission will be obtained where required.

Clients who request a fully private gallery will not have photographs from that session displayed publicly by Sylvia Dobek Photography.

Promotional and seasonal photography packages are already offered at a special rate and cannot normally be combined with additional discounts unless specifically stated.
