What the lockdowns brought to my life?
Intro
It is often not what happens in our lives, but how we deal with it.
The first lockdown brought confusion and a strange mess into my life. It was an extremely difficult time for all of us. There was fear for health, family struggles, online school, lots of new responsibilities, and finally … my photo studio will stop working. Each of us struggled with different difficulties, but we all had sufficient strength to cope with them.
Despite the helplessness that often happened in my days, I began to enjoy my daily life, playing with children, having long conversations, reading books, and celebrating time with the family with whom I live under the same roof. It was a strange time, but looking at it now was also very positive. My camera from the studio started going out and looking at my kids more often. The next lockdown was easier. We finally had a home ritual that helped us organise our time better. During this time, I started to learn new things related to my profession and now I use them in my work.
I think the closing periods have brought me a lot of good. We started to enjoy the things we have here and now.
The first walk into the forest after the closure period was extremely enjoyable. It turned out that we do not need to be on an all-inclusive vacation to rest.
We realised that our family doesn’t have to do anything to deserve our attention. It has become important that they are healthy. We began to appreciate the freedom that we lacked in longing for the rest family who lives far from us. We saw that our lives are beautiful by being so simple.
