The secret of my rebranding.
Unfortunately, the story is sad, but I would like it to also be instructive. This is a warning to everyone. But let’s start from the beginning.
I opened my company from the domain dobekphoto.com. My name was the face of my company name. Mark formed slowly because of the little children, but slowly I spread my wings.
Two years later, I got an alarming call from one of the apartment owners in central London to confirm my reservation and identity. In her obedience, when she was informed about the client, she checked him on the Internet, and in this way she reached me. It turned out that I had been robbed of my identity. Someone presents themselves with my name and surname, date of birth, identity document (forged), address, and profession.
I was shocked and implemented all police procedures.
It was my indiscretion.
My studio was also my private office where I kept useful documents (driving license). It was this document that was forged.
I had almost unlimited trust in my clients. After all, I know names, addresses, etc. It never occurred to me that someone wipes my drawers and steals my documents.
It turned out that this person is trying to get credit in many banks and small institutions. The police can’t do anything until the scammers actually steal my money. This is still the case today.
I was very scared of the situation and decided to change the company name to Freeze The Time Photography in order to hide my personality.
Has it helped me? It brought little relief.
Now, after many years, I feel strong enough and ready to come back as Sylvia Dobek Photography . During this time, I have learned that I should no longer torment myself with a mistake made years ago.
I have no influence on what happens to this situation. I did everything I could to fix it. I would like to warn you not to lose your vigilance. In the era of social media, we will put our most important data available on Facebook / Instagram. People easily can find your date of birth, company address, full name, house address and that’s almost enough to create the fake document.
I’m going back with my full name in the photography company name to you. I am your photographer, I am not company X. I’m Sylvia Dobek Photography Ltd. I’m still Family Photographer in London. I’m located in Enfield and with pleasure capture your Family on beautiful pictures. I’m focused on Pregnancy Shoots and Newborn Sessions, Celebration of 1st Birthday – Smash Cake Photography, cherish Family Photo Sessions with lots of portraits.
