Amelia’s story
That’s my goal when I see happy parents at gallery viewing time. I remember a session with this family and little fresh baby Amelie. Despite the parent concerns, the baby slept very well, allowing me to pose her in ALL my know newborn positions. Over the years I have had many clients as a Newborn Photographer in London. This family is one of those who have been saved in my memory. Read mom’s review:
‘I am writing this on the same day I went to pick up our baby photographs because I don’t want to miss out on a single positive thing I have to say about this photographer’s talent. It goes so much beyond the perfect shots!
Amelia was born in February and we struggled quite a lot in the first few weeks because of her colics, so she was 27 days old when we managed to do her session – much older than the ideal, as some poses can be trickier to obtain at this age. Besides, Amelia peed all the clothes she was wearing during the session, cried when she was hungry and when she had colic pains, ruined her poses a thousand times, … I was mentally thinking ‘oh no, come on baby, please don’t embarrass me.
Amazingly, Sylvia had all the patience in the world. She was extremely caring and confident, stopped every time necessary, and gave her cuddles when she was upset. Once settled, she would make it all look perfect again. I hadn’t even seen the pictures and I already left the studio amazed by the photographer’s kindness, sensitivity, and dedication to making every single pose so cute and perfect (and still so natural-looking!).
Today, when I sat down to see the pictures, I honestly knew I was gonna be surprised. I just didn’t know how much.
For a little over a month, I have been ‘spamming’ friends and family with photos I took from Amelia, as many didn’t have the chance of meeting her yet. However, it never showed how cute and perfect she is to our eyes. And Sylvia gave us that: a whole new perspective of our little princess that made total justice to every feature of her we see every day but can’t portrait the same way. Watching the results made me cry a river – literally! – want to share it with the world and proudly say out loud ‘you know, this PERFECT little thing is MY daughter!’.
The truth is, I am now going to be able to brag and be proud of this beauty every single day for the rest of my life (yes, I will hang these pictures all over the house, and probably everyone else’s!). So… THANK YOU so much, Sylvia, for giving us these priceless memories. No money can pay back how you made us feel today <3
